I honestly like them - they're dark and twisted. Really good. :)

Snagged number 6, couldn't resist :D So brilliant. Thanks!

I like the way #21 is intense and dynamical -- it just begs to be nominated at hp_awards. And the cropping of#27 is gorgeous, it conveys the emotions of the moment. You know, this batch reminds me a bit of some older 0oh__snap___xx's HP batches, before she started using more colours (this is not something against you, I'm a big fan of snap's icons) ^_^
lyricalley on January 30th, 2006 05:18 pm (UTC)
No, that's fine! On my last Narnia post I said I had influences and Oh snap is absolutley one (and flying spatulas, though less so on this batch). I have been deliberately practising a more cinematic and crisp style because I love it in their work. (Though this batch isn't quite as crisp due to the actual caps and the coloring I used.) Here, I mostly practised rotating and cropping/framing to make each icon feel like there was action. After I was done, I realized that half of them have pointing fingers and/or wands. :p
How's studying going?
macpherson_arts on January 31st, 2006 09:09 am (UTC)
Ah, the English Lit Exam will be tomorrow and I'm still rereading Sir Gawain istead of moving on to Elizabethan sonnets, the final part of the material we studied this semester...

These are awesome.
The angles that you used to twist them around is great.
These are so unique and I <3 them.

Not taking any at the moment, but I absolutely adore #6, 8, & 23. I've loved watching you develop over the months & you truly are becoming an icon queen. :)

You are going to make me cry, that's so sweet of you to say! *hug*
How've you been? It seems all I have energy for online anymore is icons...
mustntgetmy on January 31st, 2006 01:12 am (UTC)
Very awesome icons. I'm taking #6 and I'll credit you when I use it.

I love the coloring! One thing that's slightly bothersome, however, is that a lot of the images are fairly blurry for icon-standards. Perhaps try sharpening?

I really love these, though!
midnightzstorm on January 31st, 2006 09:49 pm (UTC)
These are amazing! Awesome cropping! Snagging 9! Will credit!

Hey =]
i found you in an icon journal. (i was browsing through so many, so i'm not sure which one) & i absolutely love your icons!
i was wondering if you could make me one.
it's actually fairly simple.
i'm sure you're familiar with the band System of a Down..

i want it to have these lyrics:
you and me will all go down in history,
wth a sad Statue of Liberty
ad a generation that didn't agree.

with a black background & white or red writing.
then maybe flash System of a Down
and flash again a picture of the band (optional)

it doesn't have to be livejournal icon size
i'm going to be putting this on my myspace.

thank you so much.
i will credit.
